IKEA retail stores had a major problem: their energy management systems were completely disconnected and siloed, with each store using varying levels of EMS and BA systems with conflicting data sources. These data incompatibilities meant that it was impossible to measure cross-site performance and conduct country-level analyses.

Centralized digital twin property portfolio

Akila built digital twins for 37 stores connected to IoT devices for real-time data collection from assets and systems. With the Akila API, we centralized data from other existing building technologies to expand their functionality. We deployed the Energy SUITE on top of the platform for HVAC optimization.
